Ingredients:
Cracked wheat/godhumai rava - 1/2 cup
Milk - 1 cup
Jaggery/gud (powdered)- 1.5 to 2 cups (or according to taste)
Coconut milk - 2 cups
Green cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp.
Ghee/Clarified butter - 2 tsp.
Method:
1. Melt 1 tsp. ghee in a pan and sautƩ the rava for 3 to 4 minutes or till you get a nice aroma.
2. Add this rava in a pressure cooker. Pour 2 cups of hot water. Pressure cook up to 4 whistles.
3. Now add 1 cup of milk and stir, let it cook in low flame. Stir in between.
4. Meanwhile in a sauce pan, add the jaggery and 1/4 cup of water. Stir well. Bring it to a boil. Remove the impurities from the syrup. Pour the syrup on the rava. Mix. After 4 to 5 minutes, add the ghee and cardamom powder.
5. Remove from heat and add the coconut milk.
Note:
Adding cashews and coconut pieces is optional. I didn't add them.

Hi Nandhini,
Cracked Wheat Payasam is a great option for people who also want to lose weight to have a filling yet healthy dinner. I omit the coconut milk and use 2% instead..
